Boko Haram vs Federal Govt of Nigeria.

April 12, 2012

It was just of recent that peace talks between the so-called Boko Haram sect and the Nigerian govt broke away. The chief mediator strongly alleged that govt was not fully committed to the tunes of the negotiations and he decided to pull away.
Thus, the long awaited peace that most Nigerian citizens have been dreaming of remains daunting.
However, the U.S govt urge Nigerian govt to resume peace talks with the sect in order to check the looming insecurity situation that has disrupted so many activities particularly in the northern part of the country. The big question here is, can Nigerian govt take a U-turn on taking double standards in the issue of Boko Haram? Let the govt shun away from being a grave arrogant and face the reality. Hence, anyone (irrespective of his or her religion or status) that has been apprehended possessing illegal weapons should be carefully and thoroughly interrogated, because there have been cases where both christians and muslims were caught with terrifying explosive devices, and any time we here a blast, fingers get pointed at only muslims.
